On Thursday the temperature reached into the 20's with sunny conditions in the morning and cloudy conditions in the afternoon. Despite the forecast, during the day the heavy band of lake effect snow stayed north of us. The good news is that some warmer weather conditions are expected for the upcoming weekend. Overall the fishing has been good and the few anglers that have been here have done well. Anglers in the Lower Fly Zone have had success dead drifting nymphs or using small single egg patterns under a strike indicator. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing have had the most success with pink worms or egg sacs.
