Please check the waterline for the latest update. With the combination of rain and melting snow from the warm weather it's no surprise the water level has been increased and were getting significant runoff. On Tuesday the few anglers we spoke with fished the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. They reported the visibility was off color from the runoff in the mid to lower end of the river but not an issue in Altmar. Bottom bouncing or float fishing with egg sacs and pink worms was most productive. As of early this morning the temperature was already in the upper 50's but is expected to drop later in the afternoon.
