Daily Report
March 22 2018
On Thursday we had plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the mid 30's. We got mixed reports from anglers stopping into the shop, some anglers had a good day with plenty of action, while others had a slow day. The upper section of river between Altmar and Pineville has been producing action on a daily basis but is also getting the most fishing pressure. The fish have been holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. Anglers in the lower end of the river have been getting into some fresh chrome, while the mid to upper end of the river has been producing a mix of colored up fish along with a few bright ones. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing have had the most success with pink or blue egg sacs. Anglers who are fly fishing have had success with black stoneflies, single egg patterns or small woolly buggers.
