Daily Report
September 16 2018
On Saturday we had hot and humid conditions with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the 80's. The fishing pressure did increase which is normal for the weekend. We got mixed reports from anglers and depending on what section of the river they fished, some groups got into some fish, while others did not. Anglers did report that the best fish movement was first thing in the morning, then once it got bright and sunny, the deeper holes produced the best action. Just a reminder that the Lower Fly Fishing Zone is now open. Over the last couple of days the most productive fly patterns have been olive conehead woolly buggers, black egg sucking leeches with pink, orange or chart head, egg patterns in red, purple and blue.
