Daily Report

December 05 2018

On Tuesday we had some colder weather conditions with the temperature in the 20's for most of the day. The few anglers we spoke with reported that the water clarity had improved and was much better then the previous day. Most of the anglers that are here right now are fishing with drift boat guides, but a few bank anglers are fishing as well and mostly in the mid to upper end of the river. The drift boats are taking advantage of the high water conditions and covering lots of water, while the bank anglers who mostly fishing between Altmar and Pineville. Anglers who were fly fishing had some success dead drifting with woolly buggers and nymphs or indicator fishing with egg patterns. For those anglers who are float fishing or bottom bouncing, blue egg sacs produced the best results.
