Daily Report
December 14 2018
On Friday we had cloudy conditions and the temperature reached into the 40's. With the mild conditions and recent drop in water level it's no surprise we saw an increase in the number of anglers. The upper and lower end of the river had the most fishing pressure, so if your looking for some solitude mid river would be a good choice. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported having a very good day. Anglers seemed to do well throughout the river with a mix of fresh chrome as well as dark or colored up fish. With the low water conditions the fish were holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. Anglers who were fly fishing had success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. The most productive patterns were pale colored glo bugs, black stoneflies, wiggle stones, steelhead hammer and peacock woolly buggers. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink and blue egg sacs or beads.
