Tuesday was another really nice fall day with above average temperatures reaching into the mid 60's along with sunny conditions. Anglers who had the most success in the lower end of the river were covering lots of water and focussing on transition water. Dead drifting or bottom bouncing with egg patterns has been producing the best results. In the upper end of the river anglers have been getting into some steelhead between Altmar and Pineville as well as the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zone. The most productive patterns have been sucker spawn, steelie omelet, glo-bugs, estaz eggs, flesh fly, egg sucking leeches and steelhead buggers. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing with spinning gear or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, trout beads and pink worms have produced the best results.
