Daily Report
February 10 2020
On Monday we had calm and cloudy conditions with the temperature reaching into the upper 30's. Over the next couple of days the above average temperatures are expected to continue. With the recent drop in water level the few anglers we spoke with reported having a slow day. In the upper end of the river anglers have had success in the Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool and Pineville. In the lower end of the river anglers have had success in the Town Pool, Longbridge, Staircase, Black Hole and DSR. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. The most productive patterns have been wiggle stones, steelhead hammer, rusher nymphs, steak-n-eggs, small woolly buggers and estaz eggs. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink worms, egg sacs and beads.
