Daily Report
February 24 2020
Monday was another very mild day with spring like conditions once again. We had sunny conditions for most of the day and the temperature reached near 50 degrees in the afternoon. With the nice weather it was no surprise we saw an increase in the numbers of anglers getting out to take advantage of the conditions. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported getting into fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. Over the last few days it's been a mix of bright fish as well as colored up fish. Anglers reported having action in the Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Trestle Pool, Ellis Cove, Staircase, Black Hole and DSR. The most productive patterns were steelhead stones, steelhead hammer, hare's ear, copper john, beadhead stones, rusher nymphs, steelhead buggers, estaz eggs, steelie omelet and sucker spawn. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with beads, pink worms, pink or blue egg sacs and marabou jigs.
