December 04 2020
On Thursday we had a mix of sun and clouds with the temperature reaching into the 40's and what little snow we had from the previous day melted. The anglers we spoke with who fished the lower end of the river reported getting into fresh fish. In the upper end of the river anglers reported getting into fish between Altmar and Pineville as well as the Lower Fly Zone. The anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting or indicator fishing with egg patterns and nymphs. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink and blue egg sacs or beads. Just a reminder that the Upper Fly Zone is now closed until April 1st, but the Lower Fly Zone is currently open.
