We only picked up a couple of inches from the recent snow storm that came through, the heaviest of snow totals were south and east of here. Over the last several days the night time temperature has been in the teens and slush ice has been a factor in the lower end of the river in the mornings but has been clearing in the afternoon. The few anglers we spoke with fished the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville with mixed results.
