Daily Report

May 12 2017

Thursday was another dry day with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the 50's. Very few anglers are fishing but the lower end of the river is producing the best action. The DSR reported that anglers got into a mix of drop back steelhead, Atlantic Salmon and smallmouth bass. The drop backs have been holding at the head or tailout of the deeper holes and larger runs. They tend to be suspended in the water column and provide anglers with a great opportunity for swinging flies. Just a reminder that the Lower Fly Fishing Zone is open through May 15th. Also keep in mind that if your fishing either one of the catch-and-release fly fishing areas, May 1st through August 31st is floating fly lines only.
