On Thursday we had a mix of sun and clouds with the temperature reaching near 30 degrees. The water flow has increased and the dam release is now 750cfs. Yesterday the majority of anglers we spoke with fished the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville as well as the Lower Fly Fishing Area. Anglers reported having some action in the Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Trestle Pool, Pineville and Lower Fly Zone. Anglers who are fly fishing continue to have success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing have had the most success with blue, pink, chart egg sacs, marabou jigs, pink worms or beads.
