April 07 2021
Wednesday was another beautiful day with blue skies, plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the mid 60's. The dry and very mild conditions are expected to continue over the next couple of days. With the temperature expected to be above freezing at night along with warm and sunny conditions during the day the water temperature will continue to rise. As of right now we currently have a mix of spawning fish holding in and around the gravel areas along with fish that have completed the spawning process and are dropping back. Those fish tend to hold in the faster water of the bigger holes and larger runs. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifting with egg patterns or swinging streamers with sinking leaders has produced the best results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads or pink worms has produced the best results.
