Daily Report
April 19 2021
On Monday we had blue skies with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the 60's. Over the last couple of days the majority of anglers we spoke with reported doing well and getting into fish. As of right now we still currently have a mix of spawning fish holding in and around the gravel areas in the mid to upper section of the river along with fish that have completed the spawning process and are dropping back. The drop backs tend to hold in the faster water of the bigger holes and larger runs. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR have been getting into a mix of steelhead and smallmouth bass. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success swinging black, olive, white or purple streamers with sinking leaders. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads, pink worms or marabou jigs have all produced results.
