Daily Report

September 25 2021

On Friday we had cloudy and cooler conditions with the temperature reaching into the low 60's. We got mixed reported from anglers depending on what section of river they fished. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR and had some success reported that they covered water and worked hard for the fish they got, the majority of action seemd to be cohos. Other anglers stopping into the shop reported getting into fish in the morning around the town area and Ballpark.  Over the last couple of days anglers have reported fish holding in some of the deeper holes in the mid to upper end of the river. The Upper and Lower Fly Fishing Area has been producing some early morning action and has not been getting as much pressure as other sections of the river. In the afternoon the number of anglers arriving for the weekend increased which is normal for this time of year.

The boats out in the lake have been fishing in 20 - 60 feet of water off the Salmon River. They have been getting into a mix of kings and cohos with echip flashers & atomik flies producing the best results.

The motel dates have been changing by the phone call and were trying to keep them updated. Just because you don't see the date listed your looking for, keep in mind that the person who literally called right before you did could of been making a change. When in doubt it's always best to call just to see if anything opened up or ask to be on a waiting list for a specific set of dates.
