Daily Report

December 01 2017

Thursday was another windy day, the morning temperature was in the 20's, but things warmed up in the afternoon with the temperature reaching into the mid 40's. The scattered rain showers held off until late in the day. Just a reminder that the Upper Fly Zone is now closed for the season and will reopen on April 1st. For those anglers looking to fish the fly fishing only area, the Lower Fly Zone is still open. The upper and lower end of the river has been most productive but has also been getting the most fishing pressure. Depending on the technique anglers who are fly fishing have had success with egg patterns, nymphs, woolly buggers and leeches. Covering lots of water has proven to be successful with some fish holding in the transition water as well as some of the normal winter holding water. In the lower end of the river anglers have been getting into some fresh fish as well as some colored up fish. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing have done well with blue and pink egg sacs or trout beads.
