Daily Report

October 16 2021

Friday was another very mild day with cloudy conditions and the temperature reached into the mid 70's. Scattered rain showers are expected throughout the day along with a cold front moving through later in the day. Yesterday the anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported having a good day while getting into a mix of kings, browns and steelhead. Other anglers stopping into the shop reported getting into fish in and around the Sportsman Pool, Trestle Pool, Ellis Cove, Frazier's Run, Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Areas. For those anglers who were fly fishing, egg patterns and egg sucking leeches produced the best results. Anglers who were bottom bouncing with spinning gear had the most success with blue and pink egg sacs.

The motel dates have been changing by the phone call and were trying to keep them updated. Just because you don't see the date listed your looking for, keep in mind that the person who literally called right before you did could of been making a change. When in doubt it's always best to call just to see if anything opened up or ask to be on a waiting list for a specific set of dates.
