water-temp Water Temp 36F

Daily Report

January 18 2022

On Monday we picked up some new snow from the storm system that was moving through the Northeast. Despite the recent snow the majority of parking lots have been cleared and are in good shape. As of recently the water level continues to be up and down. In the lower end of the river slush ice and shelf has been a factor depending on the temp's. In the upper end of the river in Altmar, slush ice has not been a factor. The few anglers who have been around on a daily basis have been focussing on the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. In the upper end of the river the fish have been holding in the normal winter holding areas, such as Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse, Wire Hole, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool and Pineville.
