Daily Report

December 17 2017

On Sunday we had cold conditions but we did get a break from the lake effect machine with no new snow. In the morning we started out near zero and in the afternoon the temperature struggled to reach into the low 20's. The goods news is that mild weather conditions are expected over the next couple of days. This is a good opportunity for anglers to take advantage of before the holiday weekend. The majority of anglers we spoke with over the weekend reported getting into fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. Anglers we had staying in the motel who fished the Lower Fly Zone reported getting into fish with nymphs and small single egg patterns producing the best results. Anglers who bottom bouncing with blue egg sacs reported getting into fish in both the upper and lower end of the river. Anglers who were float fishing had the most success with blue and pink egg sacs or beads.
