The month of August finished up with below average temperatures and above average precipitation. Now that were into September the extended forecast calls for some dry, hot and humid conditions, not exactly what most of us wanted to see, but you can't control the weather. On Friday the number of anglers increased as people started arriving for the long holiday weekend. Most of the anglers we spoke with were just arriving in hopes of getting into some fresh fish with the increased water flow. Other anglers reported seeing some early morning fish movement in the lower end of the river in the normal areas, such as Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and DSR. Friday was also another good day on the lake with most boats getting into a mix of kings and cohos.
