On Friday the morning started out cool but the with plenty of sunshine the temperature reached near 60 degrees in the afternoon. Last night the temperature only dropped into the 50's and sunny conditions are expected again for today. The extended forecast does show rain over the next couple of days. The fishing pressure did increase for the holiday weekend which is normal for this time of year. Yesterday the majority of anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported having another very good day while getting into mostly kings. Other anglers stopping into the shop reported having a good day between the Ballpark and Staircase as well. Overall we currently have fish scattered in the river from top to bottom. In the upper end of the river anglers have reported kings holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs, such as Upper Fly Zone, Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Trestle Pool and Sportsman Pool. In the mid to lower end of the river depending on the day, anglers have reported fresh kings along with a few cohos on the move in areas such as the Ballpark, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR.
