October 22 2024
Monday was another really warm day with cloudy conditions in the morning along with some sun in the afternoon and the temperature reached into the 70's. The warm, dry and sunny conditions are expected to continue over the next couple of days. In the lower end of the river the majority of anglers have switched over and are now focussing on steelhead. For those anglers still looking for salmon, the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville would be your best bet. Anglers stopping into the shop who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported getting into mostly kings along with a few cohos. Depending on the day anglers have been getting into fish in the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zones, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool area, Sportsman Pool area, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR.
