Daily Report
October 25 2024
On Thursday we had some cooler weather along with mostly cloudy conditions and the temperature reached near 50 degrees. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported that the fishing improved from the previous day with a mix of mostly steelhead and a few kings. In the lower end of the river the majority of anglers have switched over and are now focussing on steelhead. For those anglers still looking for salmon, the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville would be your best bet. Anglers stopping into the shop who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported getting into mostly kings along with a few cohos. Depending on the day anglers have been getting into fish in the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zones, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool area, Sportsman Pool area, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR.
