Over the weekend we had some really nice weather and the temperature reached into the 40's. The water level remains high but some anglers still came up and fished over the weekend. Some of the more experienced drift boat guides continue to take advantage of the high water conditions and are floating most of the river. The majority of bank anglers have been fishing the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville, but over the weekend bank anglers were fishing mid river as well as the lower end between the Staircase and Town Pool. Anglers who had the most success were bottom bouncing with flies or float fishing with egg sacs and beads.
