Daily Report

November 06 2024

On Tuesday we had cloudy conditions in the morning with plenty of sunshine in the afternoon and the temperature reaching into the upper 70's. The mild weather conditions are expected to continue for Wednesday with the temperature in the mid 60's along with scattered showers in the morning. Yesterday we got mixed reports from anglers depending on what section of river they fished, some groups reported having a good day while others had a tough day. The best action seemed to be first thing in the morning when we had cloudy conditions. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifitng with egg patterns, indicator fishing with egg patterns or swinging streamers with sink tips have all produced results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs and beads have produced the best reults. Anglers stopping into the shop who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported getting into a few steelhead as well.  Depending on the day anglers have been getting into fish in the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zones, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool area, Sportsman Pool area, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR.

Current Shop hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00AM - 7:00PM. Friday & Saturday 7:00AM - 8:00PM. Sunday 7:00AM - 7:00PM.

Suggested patterns:

Eggs: estaz eggs, steelie omelet, glo-bugs, sucker spawn.

Streamers: Egg sucking leeches, flesh flies, woolly buggers.

Nymphs: Steelhead hammer, beadhead stones, rubber legged stones.
