Daily Report
November 20 2024
On Tuesday we had a mix of sun and clouds with calm conditions and the temperature reached near 50 degrees. After a long stretch of dry conditions we finally have some rain in the upcoming forecast. Over the last couple of days the majority of anglers we spoke with reported doing well while getting into steelhead. The upper and lower end of the river is getting the most fishing pressure on a daily basis. If your willing to walk and looking to avoid other anglers, the mid section of river would be a good choice. With the low water conditions the fish have been holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifitng with egg patterns, indicator fishing with egg patterns or swinging small streamers with sink tips have all produced results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs and beads have produced the best reults. Anglers stopping into the shop who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported getting into a few steelhead as well. Depending on the day anglers have been getting into fish in the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zones, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool area, Sportsman Pool area, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR.
