Now that our steelhead season in the river has finished up, we can look back and say it was a great season. Throughout the season we kept hearing the same two comments from anglers, the number of steelhead was impressive with plenty of big fish around. The release from the dam is 750cfs and Pineville gauge is reading around 843cfs as of this morning. The majority of steelhead have finished the spawning process and headed back to Lake Ontario where they will spend the summer. At this point your best bet to get into any remaining steelhead would be in the lower end of the river.... read more.

The majority of steelhead have finished the spawning process and headed back to Lake Ontario where they will spend the summer.
