On Tuesday we had cold and windy conditions along with lake effect snow showers and the temperature struggled to reach into the 30's. Due to the recent rain and melting snow coming off the Tug Hill were still dealing with significant runoff. Due to the recent heavy rain and melting snow coming off the Tug Hill the Salmon River has significant runoff and is currently running at flood stage. As of this morning the dam release was 5500cfs and Pineville gauge was around 6050cfs. At this point it's best to wait until the river returns to a safe and fishable level. read more.
