Brookfield, in consultation with the New York State DEC, have decided to continue with the current 185 cfs base flow out of Lighthouse Hill for the beginning of September due to ongoing drought conditions coupled with low reservoir levels. The handful of anglers left fishing the river are mostly in the lower end taking advantage of the smallmouth bass action.  Suggested patterns: Eggs: Steak-N-Eggs, Estaz eggs, steelie omelet, glo-bugs, sucker spawn. Streamers: Crystal buggers, woolly buggers, zonkers, bunny leeches, egg sucking leeches. Nymphs: Prince nymphs, copper john's, pheasant tails, wiggle stones, steelhead hammer, beadhead stones, rubber legged stones. read more.

Over the weekend we had heavy rain and it's no surprise that the release from the dam has been increased.
