Daily Report

September 11 2025

Over the last couple of days we've had cooler temperatures at night with warm and sunny conditions during the day. Not many anglers have been on the water mid week so fishing pressure has been lite, but that will change as we head into the upcoming weekend. The majority of anglers stopping into shop or staying in the motel have been fishing mostly the lower end of the river. Overall the last couple of days the fish movement has been slow. Anglers have reported that the best action has been first thing in the morning before the sun gets on the water, while mid day with the low water conditions the fish seem to be holding in the deeper holes and larger runs.

Brookfield, in consultation with the New York State DEC, have decided to continue with the current 185 cfs base flow out of Lighthouse Hill for the beginning of September due to ongoing drought conditions coupled with low reservoir levels. This lowered base flow will remain reduced until the reservoir recovers to normal historic elevations for this time of year.
