Daily Report
February 14 2018
On Wednesday we had calm conditions, plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the 40's. We had mixed reports from anglers but they all agreed it was a beautiful day on the water. No surprise that the fishing pressure picked up with the nice weather, but it was great to see anglers taking advantage of the conditions. In the lower end of the river anglers reported getting into fresh chrome while bottom bouncing with egg sacs or float fishing with pink worms and egg sacs. The majority of mixed reports came from the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville, some groups got into fish, while others did not. A few groups that we spoke with reported having a good day in the Lower Fly Zone with nymphs producing the best results. Spring like conditions are expected for today.
