April 10 2026
On Thursday we had very mild conditions with the temperature reaching into the upper 60's. The release from the dam was 750cfs and the Pineville gauge is reading around 1130cfs as of this morning. With the water level finally coming down and the nice weather it's no surprise the angling activity has picked up. Anglers that we spoke with were either heading to some of the smaller local tributaries or staying here on the main river. Anglers who are fly fishing are having success dead drifting with streamers or indicator fishing with egg patterns and beads. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, pink worms and beads have all produced resuts.
