Daily Report
April 09 2026
On Wednesday we started out the morning with the temperature in the teens, but with blue skies and plenty of sunshine the temperature reached near 50 degrees in the afternoon. The little bit of snow we picked up the previous day melted and for Thursday, warm and dry conditions are expected with the temperature reaching into the 60's. At noon on Wednesday the release from the dam was lowered to 750cfs and the Pineville gauge is reading 1180cfs as of this morning. Yesterday the few anglers we spoke with reported getting into fish on some of the smaller local tributaries. Now that the water level on the Salmon River has come down, you should expect the angling activity to increase, especially as we head into the upcoming weekend.
