Daily Report

April 13 2026

On Sunday we had mostly cloudy conditions with the temperature reaching into the 50's in the afternoon. As we head through the week very mild conditions are expected with the temperature reaching near 70 degrees depending on the day. On Sunday night at 8:30PM the release from the dam was increased to 2000cfs and as of this morning Pineville gauge is reading around 2620cfs. Yesterday was another really busy day on the river with lots of bank anglers and plenty of drift boats. With the nice weather and good fishing it was no surprise we had increased fishing pressure over the weekend. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported having another good day with plenty of drop back action. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifting with streamers or egg patterns under a strike indicator has produced steady results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, beads and pink worms have all produced steady results.
