water-temp Water Temp 70F

Daily Report

April 14 2026

On Monday we had mild conditions with the temperature reaching into the mid 60's along with scattered showers. As we head through the week very mild conditions are expected with the temperature reaching near 70 degrees depending on the day. Yesterday the dam release was 2000cfs and as of this morning Pineville gauge is reading around 2640cfs. Yesterday the majority of bank anglers we spoke with reported having another good day in the side channels and diversions off the main river or in some of the smaller local tributaries. The drift anglers are taking advantage of the higher water conditions while covering lots of water with plenty of drop back action as well.  For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifting with streamers or egg patterns under a strike indicator has produced steady results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, beads and pink worms have all produced steady results.
