On Friday we had blue skies with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the upper 60's. Saturday is expected to be another very mild day with the temperature reaching into the mid 70's. At 8:00AM Saturday morning the dam release was lowered to 1000cfs. Cooler conditions along with rain is expected for Saturday night and into Sunday. Yesterday the majority of bank anglers we spoke with reported having another very good day in the side channels and diversions off the main river or in some of the smaller local tributaries. The drift boat anglers are taking advantage of the higher water conditions while covering lots of water with plenty of drop back action as well. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifting with streamers or egg patterns under a strike indicator has produced steady results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, beads and pink worms have all produced steady results.
