Daily Report

Thursday was hot and humid with sunny conditions and the temperature reached near 80 degrees. That being said the few anglers we spoke with reported having a good day in the lower end of the river. The best early season action continues to be in the lower end of the river.  Areas such as the Ballpark, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staicase, Black Hole and DSR are getting the most attention which is normal for this time of year. As far as the lake fishing goes, on the days the boats can get out, the fishing has been very good. The LOC Derby is still going on and runs thru Labor Day.  The open motel dates have been posted on the motel page of the website. If you don't see the dates your looking for, it's always best to call and check to see if something just recently became available.
