Daily Report

Saturday was another day of warm and sunny conditions with the temperature reaching into the mid 70's in the afternoon and more of the same is expected for today. The number of anglers around the river did increase from what we had during the week which is normal, especially on the weekend. Yesterday we got mixed reports from anglers depending on where they fished. The best early season action continues to be in the lower end of the river.  Areas such as the Ballpark, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staicase, Black Hole and DSR are getting the most attention which is normal for this time of year. We did speak with a few anglers that were able to find some pods of fish scattered throughout the mid section. As far as the lake fishing goes, on the days the boats can get out, the fishing has been very good. The LOC Derby is still going on and runs thru Labor Day.  The open motel dates have been posted on the motel page of the website. If you don't see the dates your looking for, it's always best to call and check to see if something just recently became available.
