April 30 2018
On Monday we had a mix of sun and clouds and the temperature reached 50 degrees. Were going to see some improvement with the weather over the next couple of days with mild conditions in the forecast. We currently have drop backs scattered throughout the river and fish actively spawning around the gravel areas of the mid to upper section of river. The few anglers we spoke with reported getting into some fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. Anglers also reported having success at some of the smaller local tributaries. Anglers who were fly fishing had the best results with woolly buggers and sucker spawn. Pink worms and blue egg sacs produced the best results for those anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing.
