Please check the waterline for the latest update, the water levels have been posted for the upcoming holiday weekend. On Friday we finally got some cooler weather conditions and the temperature was in the 70's, this was much better then the 90's we had earlier in the week. The season is off to a good start and a few anglers have been getting into some kings, mostly in the lower end of the river. No major runs yet, but enough fish to keep the few anglers who are around happy. First thing in the morning or late in the afternoon has been most productive. Over the last couple of days the few anglers we spoke with who had success reported getting into some kings at the Compactor, Ballpark, Town Pool, Staircase/Longbridge, Blackhole and DSR. The fishing on the eastern end of Lake Ontario continues to be very good on the days it's calm enough to get out. Anglers are marking good numbers of fish and the biggest kings of the season are starting to show up. Just goto Loc.org and check out the fall 2018 leaderboard and you can see that some of the biggest kings have been entered over the last couple of days.
