Daily Report

September 21 2018

On Friday we had hot and humid conditions with the temperature reaching into the 70's. In the evening heavy rain showers moved through the area along with strong winds. Some cooler weather conditions are expected as we head through the weekend. The anglers we have staying in the motel and stopping into the shop reported having another very good day in the mid to lower end of the river. Anglers reported getting into mostly kings along with a few cohos in the Compactor, Papermill, Clamshed, Ballpark, Town pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and DSR. The few anglers we spoke with who fished the upper end of the river reported fish holding in the Trestle Pool. The anglers who were fly fishing had the most success with glo-bugs, estaz stones, comets, bunny leeches, woolly buggers and egg sucking leeches. Anglers who were bottom bouncing had the most success with blue egg sacs.
