Daily Report

On Friday we had blue skies with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the mid 40's. The water level is coming down for the weekend so we should have a few more anglers getting out on the water and taking advantage of conditions. The few anglers we spoke with on Friday reported getting into some steelhead in the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. The fish have been holding in the softer water along the edges and inside seams. Anglers who were fly fishing had some success dead drifting with nymphs and woolly buggers or indicator fishing with egg patterns. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had success with blue egg sacs, pink worms or beads.
