Daily Report

January 25 2019

On Thursday morning the temperature was in the 40's along with steady rain showers and in the afternoon the temperature dropped with the rain changing over to snow showers. Anglers stopping into the shop reported having a very good day in the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. Anglers who were float fishing had the most success with blue egg sacs. With the recent drop in water level the fish have been holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. Anglers also reported that the Lower Fly Zone Zone fished very well with nymphs and single egg patterns producing the best results.  As of this morning a heavy band of lake effect snow was setting up over our area and is expected to be with us the remainder of today and into Saturday morning.
