Daily Report

April 18 2019

On Thursday we had mild conditions with a mix of sun and clouds and the temperature reached into the mid 60's. Most of the anglers we spoke with reported getting into some fish both on the Salmon River and some of the smaller local tributaries. The drift boat guides have been taking advantage of the high water conditions while covering lots of water and getting into mostly drop backs. The majority of bank anglers have been fishing the side channels and diversions off the main river as well the smaller tributaries. The most productive patterns have woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches, estaz eggs and glo-bugs. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, pink worms and beads have all produced steady results.
