Friday was another very mild day with the temperature reaching 70 degrees and the rain held off until late in the day. The drift boats continue to take advantage of the high water and are getting into drop backs while covering lots of water. Most of the bank anglers are fishing the diversions and side channels of the main river as well as some of the smaller local tributaries. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with egg patterns or swinging woolly buggers and egg sucking leeches with sinking leaders. Anglers who were float fishing or bottom bouncing had the most success with egg sacs, beads and pink worms. On Easter Sunday we will be closing early and the shop will be open from 6:00AM until noon.
