Daily Report

September 27 2019

On Friday the early morning temperature was in the 50's but with plenty of sunshine the temperature reached into the 70's in the afternoon. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported having another very good day with a steady movement of kings and cohos throughout the day. Overall it seemed to be a very good day for cohos. Other anglers we spoke with also reported having a good day while getting into a mix of kings and cohos at the Black Hole, Staircase/Longbridge, Town Pool, Ballpark and Papermill. The mid to upper end of the river also produced some action with anglers reporting fish holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs such as Sportsman Pool, Pineville, Trestle Pool, Ellis Cove and Schoolhouse Pool. The Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Zones have been producing some action on a daily basis and have not been as crowded as other section of river. Over the last couple of days the most productive patterns have been estaz eggs, glo-bugs, sucker spawn, steelhead hammer, estaz stones, woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches and fish skull zonkers.
