Daily Report

October 19 2019

On Saturday the temperature started out in the 30's with an over night frost, but with clear skies and plenty of sunshine the temperature reached into the 50's in the afternoon. Overall it was a good day and the majority of anglers we spoke with reported getting into fish. Anglers who fished the DSR reported getting into a mix of kings and steelhead with flies and egg sacs producing the best results. In the upper end of the river anglers reported getting into mostly kings and a few trout in the Upper and Lower Fly Fishing Zones.  Anglers also reported getting into fish in some of the smaller local tributaries. The most productive patterns have been estaz eggs, sucker spawn, glo-bugs, hot stones, flesh fly, egg sucking leeches and woolly buggers.
