Daily Report

November 22 2019

Over the last couple of days we've had calm and cloudy conditions with the temperature reaching into the 40's. On Friday the temperature is expected to drop throughout the day along with scattered rain showers and increased winds. The reports from anglers have been mixed, some groups are getting into fish, while others are not. The upper and lower end of the river continues to get the most fishing pressure on a daily basis. If your willing to walk and looking for some solitude the mid section of river would be a good choice. In the upper end of the river anglers have reported having some action in the Lower Fly Zone, below the Altmar bridge, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole and Ellis Cove. In the lower end of the river anglers have reported having some action in the Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR. Anglers who were fly fishing had success dead drifting with nymphs and small woolly buggers or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing with spinning gear or float fishing, blue, pink and chart egg sacs, trout beads or pink worms have all produced results.
