Daily Report
January 29 2020
On Tuesday we had cloudy conditions with the temperature reaching into the low 30's. We currently only have a few inches of snow on the ground which is well below normal for this time of year. During the week things have been pretty quiet with not as many anglers as on the weekends. Anglers have been getting into a mix of both fresh fish as well as colored up fish in the upper and lower end of the river. With the recent low water conditions the fish have been holding in the deeper holes and larger runs. Anglers who are fly fishing have had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. The most productive patterns have been wiggle stones, rusher nymphs, steelhead hammer, steak-n-eggs, stoneflies, hare's ear, prince nymph and estaz eggs. Anglers who are float fishing have had the most success with pink and blue egg sacs, beads or pink worms.
