Daily Report
March 02 2020
On Monday we had mild conditions with the temperature reaching into the mid 40's and rain showers throughout the day. What little snow we had is melting quickly and with the mild weather and recent rain it's no surprise with the bump in water level. The few anglers we spoke with late in the day reported getting into some fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. In the lower end of the river anglers got into some fresh fish in the DSR and in the upper end of the river anglers had some action in the Lower Fly Zone. Dead drifting with nymphs and single egg patterns produced the best results. The most productive patterns were steak-n-eggs, steelhead hammer, steelie omelet, rusher nymphs, sucker spawn and estaz eggs. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink worms, beads and pink or blue egg sacs.
